Electronic Filing and Digital Preservation
The Journal of Language, Literature, Social and Cultural Studies (JLLSCS) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, accessibility, and availability of its published scholarly content through appropriate electronic filing, digital archiving, and preservation practices.
The journal recognizes the importance of safeguarding scholarly publications and maintaining access to the academic record over time. Accordingly, JLLSCS seeks to implement reliable digital preservation measures, including participation in the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN), subject to confirmation of the journal’s enrollment and active participation. The PKP PN is designed to provide long-term digital preservation for participating journals and help maintain access to their published content in the event that a journal ceases publication or its website becomes unavailable.
In addition, JLLSCS supports the systematic electronic archiving of its published articles to facilitate their retrieval, discoverability, and long-term availability. Articles may also be deposited in institutional repositories, academic databases, and other recognized scholarly platforms, where applicable and subject to the journal’s policies and the requirements of the respective services. Any claims regarding repository deposits, indexing coverage, or archiving arrangements will be stated accurately and updated as necessary to reflect the journal’s actual participation and practices.
Through these measures, JLLSCS aims to protect its scholarly contributions, promote continuity in academic communication, and support access to published research for researchers, educators, students, and the wider academic community.
Verification statement: The journal will identify the PKP Preservation Network as an active preservation service only after confirming its enrollment and participation. Similarly, references to repositories, databases, and indexing services will be included only when the relevant arrangements or listings have been verified. This commitment to accurate disclosure ensures transparency and strengthens the journal’s digital preservation policy.
