The Journal of Language, Literature, Social and Cultural Studies (JLLSCS) requires authorship to reflect genuine scholarly contributions, responsibility, and accountability for published research. All individuals listed as authors must have made meaningful intellectual contributions to the work and must approve the final manuscript before publication.
To qualify as an author, an individual must meet the following criteria:
All authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is original, accurately presented, and free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of research misconduct. Authors must ensure that all sources are properly acknowledged and that the submitted manuscript complies with the publication ethics policies of JLLSCS.
Authors are also expected to ensure that their research adheres to relevant ethical standards and that any necessary permissions, informed consent, and ethical approvals have been obtained where applicable. Research findings, interpretations, and conclusions must be presented honestly, transparently, and without misleading manipulation.
The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial office, confirming that all listed authors have approved the manuscript, providing accurate author information, and coordinating communications throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication processes.
The corresponding author must also ensure that all authorship requirements are satisfied, relevant conflicts of interest are disclosed, and any questions regarding the manuscript's integrity are addressed promptly and appropriately.
Individuals who provide administrative assistance, general supervision, funding support, language editing, technical assistance, or other limited contributions without meeting the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than listed as authors. Such acknowledgments should be made with the individuals' consent where appropriate.
JLLSCS does not permit guest authorship, gift authorship, or ghost authorship. All individuals who qualify for authorship must be appropriately credited, and individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria must not be included as authors solely because of their position, seniority, institutional affiliation, or financial contribution.
Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors after manuscript submission must be justified in writing and approved by all authors concerned, including any individual being added or removed. The corresponding author must submit the request and provide an explanation of the reasons for the proposed change.
The editorial office reserves the right to evaluate such requests in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies. Changes in authorship will not be approved without adequate justification and the necessary consent of the relevant parties. Where authorship disputes arise, JLLSCS may request further clarification or refer the matter to the authors' affiliated institutions when appropriate.
Authors are encouraged to provide a clear statement describing each author's contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data collection, formal analysis, interpretation, literature review, writing of the original draft, critical revision, supervision, project administration, and funding acquisition, as applicable to the study.
This statement promotes transparency, accountability, and appropriate recognition of individual contributions to scholarly work in language studies, literature, social sciences, and cultural studies.
JLLSCS expects all authors to resolve authorship disagreements transparently and in good faith. The journal will not independently determine disputed authorship claims without appropriate evidence. Where necessary, the editorial office may suspend the review or publication process while seeking clarification or guidance from the relevant institutions or responsible authorities.
Any suspected violation of the authorship policy will be assessed in accordance with the journal's publication ethics procedures. Appropriate editorial action may be taken when evidence indicates that authorship information has been misrepresented or that publication ethics standards have been violated.
By submitting a manuscript to JLLSCS, authors confirm that the authorship information is accurate, that all listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria, and that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript. Authors further confirm that all eligible contributors have been appropriately recognized and that any relevant conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
JLLSCS is committed to ensuring fair attribution, transparent reporting of scholarly contributions, and accountability in academic publishing. Through this authorship policy, the journal seeks to uphold research integrity and promote ethical scholarly practices across the fields of language, literature, social sciences, and cultural studies.
