Copyright Ownership and Author Rights
Authors retain full copyright ownership of their published articles in the Journal of Commerce, Management and Tourism Studies (JCMTS). By publishing their articles in JCMTS, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, communicate, archive, and disseminate their work in print and electronic formats. Copyright remains with the respective author(s), and no transfer of copyright ownership to JCMTS is required. Authors retain the right to use, share, reproduce, distribute, and reuse their own published work without restrictions, subject to the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.
Full Open Access and Without Restrictions
All articles published in JCMTS are fully and freely accessible to readers worldwide under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The journal provides full and unrestricted access to all published scholarly content without subscription fees, access charges, or other financial barriers. Readers may access, read, download, print, copy, reproduce, share, redistribute, distribute, translate, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the published articles without restrictions, in any medium or format and for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license are fulfilled.
The terms full access and without restrictions mean that users do not need to obtain additional permission from the author(s) or JCMTS to exercise the rights granted under the CC BY 4.0 license. All users must provide appropriate credit to the original author(s), include a link to the license, and clearly indicate whether changes have been made. Users must not impose additional legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the license.
Copyright License and Author Responsibilities
JCMTS publishes all articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows anyone to share and adapt the published material without restrictions, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given, the license is acknowledged, and modifications are clearly indicated. The license supports the full dissemination, reuse, and development of scholarly knowledge while preserving recognition of the original author(s).
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted manuscripts are original, that they hold the necessary copyright or other rights to publish their work, and that all third-party materials included in their articles are used with appropriate permission or under compatible licensing terms. Authors must properly acknowledge third-party materials and clearly identify any content that is subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions. Such third-party materials are not automatically covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 license.
Full and Unrestricted Dissemination of Published Articles
By granting JCMTS the right of first publication, authors retain copyright ownership while enabling the journal to make their research fully available to the global scholarly community. JCMTS is committed to full open access and the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge. Accordingly, published articles may be accessed, downloaded, copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, and adapted without restrictions, subject to the attribution and other requirements of the CC BY 4.0 license.
This policy ensures that authors retain their copyright, that author rights are respected, that full access to published research is provided, and that the scholarly community can use and disseminate articles without restrictions under the applicable license.
