Archiving Policy

Archiving and Digital Preservation Policy

The Journal of Commerce, Management, Tourism Studies (JCMTS) – CLOCKS is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content. The journal recognizes the importance of digital preservation in safeguarding scholarly research and ensuring its continued availability to researchers, academics, students, and the wider academic community.

Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN)

JCMTS – CLOCKS supports the long-term digital preservation of its scholarly publications through the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN), subject to the journal's eligibility and successful participation in the network. The PKP PN is a digital preservation service developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) to preserve scholarly journal content published through compatible journal publishing platforms, including Open Journal Systems (OJS).

The PKP PN is designed to provide distributed preservation of digital journal content, helping protect published articles against data loss, technical failures, and potential disruptions to a journal's website or publishing operations. Through its preservation infrastructure, the network supports the continued availability and accessibility of scholarly publications over the long term.

Where JCMTS – CLOCKS is successfully configured and participating in the PKP PN, its published content is preserved in accordance with the network's preservation procedures and technical requirements. This arrangement supports the journal's commitment to maintaining the integrity and long-term accessibility of its scholarly record.

Digital Preservation and Accessibility

The journal aims to maintain secure digital copies of all published articles, including their full text, bibliographic metadata, and associated publication information. JCMTS – CLOCKS is committed to adopting appropriate digital preservation practices to protect its publications and facilitate continued access to scholarly research.

Authors may retain copies of their published articles and deposit them in institutional repositories or other appropriate scholarly platforms, subject to the journal's copyright, licensing, and self-archiving policies.

Continuity of Access

In the event that the journal's website becomes unavailable or the journal ceases publication, JCMTS – CLOCKS will make reasonable efforts to ensure that its published content remains accessible through the PKP Preservation Network, where applicable, and other suitable digital archives or institutional repositories.

Through these measures, JCMTS – CLOCKS seeks to safeguard its scholarly record, promote the responsible dissemination of academic research, and support the long-term preservation of knowledge in commerce, management, tourism studies, and related disciplines.

The journal will periodically review its archiving and digital preservation practices to ensure that they remain appropriate to its publishing operations and long-term preservation objectives.
