Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Authors must strictly adhere to the submission guidelines of the journal. Manuscripts that fail to meet these guidelines will be rejected. Articles should be submitted via the journal's online submission system.

Article Structure in General:

  • All articles must be written in English.
  • Abstracts should be between 150 to 250 words, followed by three to five keywords.
  • Submissions should range between 3000-6000 words, including the abstract, tables, figures, and references.
  • Manuscripts should be prepared on A4 size paper, with margins set as follows: top 1.18”, bottom 0.98”, right 0.98”, and left 1.58”.

Title:
The title should encapsulate the main theme of your paper in 14 words or less.

Author Details:
Include the names of all authors and their affiliations. Only the corresponding author's email is required. Authorship must meet the following four criteria:

  1. Substantial contributions to the concept, methodology, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research.
  2. Drafting or revising the manuscript for significant intellectual content.
  3. Final approval of the submitted version.
  4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the article to ensure accuracy and integrity.

Contributors who do not meet all four criteria should be listed under acknowledgements, not as authors. Tasks such as funding acquisition, general supervision, or language editing do not qualify for authorship. To avoid misconduct, the journal limits authorship to seven authors per article.

Abstract:
Briefly describe the article's objectives, methodology, findings, and conclusions within the abstract.

Introduction:
State the objectives of your research and provide background information. Clearly identify the literature gap that highlights the significance of your study. Avoid detailed literature surveys or result summaries.

Citation Guidelines:
When paraphrasing others' work, ensure accurate representation of their ideas and always provide proper citations. Direct quotes should be enclosed in quotation marks with appropriate citations, including the author's name, publication year, and page number.

Literature Review:
Present a comprehensive review of relevant books, articles, and other scholarly sources, offering a critical evaluation of previous research in relation to your research problem.

Method:
Detail the research process sufficiently to allow replication. Include information on participants, location, instruments, data collection, and data analysis techniques. Previously published methods should be referenced; describe only relevant modifications.

Results:
Summarize your findings clearly using tables or graphs if necessary. Do not discuss or interpret results in this section.

Discussion:
Interpret your findings in relation to the research problem and existing literature. Avoid repetition of results. A combined Results and Discussion section is acceptable in some cases.

Conclusion:
Conclude by addressing the significance of your research. Discuss limitations and offer suggestions for future research.

Acknowledgments (optional):
Mention funding sources and departments that supported your research.

References:
Follow APA 7th edition formatting for citations and references. All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and uncited works should be excluded.

Appendices (optional):
If multiple appendices are used, label them (e.g., Appendix A, Appendix B). Equations, tables, and figures should be numbered separately (e.g., Eq. A.1, Table A.1).

Formatting Guidelines:

  • Headings and subheadings should be structured as follows:
    • 1. INTRODUCTION
    • 1.1 Subheading
    • 1.1.1 Subheading
  • Indent the first line of each paragraph by 1 cm.
  • For tables and figures, titles should be size 9 font. Tables are titled above, and figures below.

References:

  • Format the reference list alphabetically according to the APA 7th edition guidelines.
    • Example for one author: Clarke, J. (2010).
    • Example for two authors: Lightbown, P. M., & Spada, N. (1993).
    • Example for three or more authors: Reid, J., Green, P., & White, T. (1989).

Quotations:

  • Short quotations (less than 40 words) should be incorporated within the text and cited with page numbers.
    • Example: "connected speech represents somewhat more natural data than the rather artificial vowels" (Wajdi, 2021, p. 54).
  • Long quotations (40 words or more) should be indented and cited accordingly.
    • Example: Wajdi (2018) stated:

"Along with communicating meaning, the acoustic signal is a product of physical properties and changes."

Reference Manager: Before copyediting, Editors will hyperlink in-text citations with the corresponding references. Uncited references should be removed.
